Hola everyone!
So, since the first week at the MTC for my new district, no one has P-day, they
gave us three hours this morning to have just enough time to pack, do laundry,
clean the apartment before we move out, to join my new district and then email.
Considering we had P-day all of basically three days ago, I
don't have much to report on, but I have learned some really cool things this
week.
I've been reading through the Book of Mormon on Sundays.
Just general reading and studying since the rest of the week I'm focused on
studying so I can teach our investigators better so therefore, I appointed
Sunday study to be the day when I just read for the sake of reading and
learning. And I've been reading through 3 Nephi this week and just remembering
how amazing of a book it is because out of all the people and prophets and
stories in the book, we often forget that Christ is the most important person
that we can read about in the Book of Mormon. So, I was reading when Christ
descends from Heaven in chapter 10-11 ish and I realized that He appeared at
the temple there in the land of Zarahemla. And it was kind of a "well of
course!" moment for me, but I had never picked up on that before.
So, Hermana Flinders and I are in the same district, which
is a huge relief to both of us that at least we have someone who speaks English
fluently to hold onto when things get a little rough and we don't know what our
companions are saying.
We also said goodbye to our district today, which was
really, really sad because they're awesome. But, on the bright side, we finally
took a district picture!
Love Sister Rawlings
