I'm in Obregon

Hey everyone!

So, the last week at the MTC was crazy but good. I would send pictures this week, but I managed to forget my camera in our house and so that's not happeninig this week, sorry. Next week.

I'm alive and safe in Cuidad Obregón. It's gorgeous here bt definitely hot, and despite what Jenson thought, it's so dry. But they have some really cool and advanced wasy they farm and irrigate her so that's really awesome.

My new area is called Esperanza. There are three sets of missionaries in this ward at the moment, two sets of Elders and then my new companion and I. President Myers said it was an area with a lot of growth, and well, it does have three sets of missionaries so I would really hope so.

My companion's name is Hermana Rubio. She's from El Salvador and she's really awesome, ridiculously sweet, and we get along really well together. I think she's just one of those people who radiates happiness. That's honestly what I aspire to be. She's also an amazing teacher. We did a practice today durign the welcome orientation and she was incredible. I can't wait to learn from her and I'm definitely going to have to work my tail off to be on her level of teaching by the time my training is over. Let the hard work begin.

I haven't met any of the investigadors yet, but we are going tonight to meet a new member family who wanted to meet Hermana Rubio's new companion. The Hermana who trained her it was her last transfer so she's headed home now and from what I've heard, she was amazing, so I've got a lot of work to do to not necessarily fill in her shoes, but to keep up the amount of work that was going on in this area. And honestly, as of right now, I'm just plain excited.

Con mi amor eterno,
Hermana Rawlings'q

Burning Spiritually and Physically!

Didn't you just LOVE conference? I feel like I have gotten much more out of General Coonference here in my time as a missionary. It's literally such a highlight and a spiritual fest. I think my favorite talks were from Jeffrey R. Holland, Dieter F. Uchtdorf, Russel M. Nelson, and actually, I can't choose, just all of them. I love what Elder Uchtdorf shared about how to share the gospel, step by step. I also love what was taught about the cvonnection between love and ministering, and I absolutely loved the emphasis on repentace and the Atoning power of Jesus Christ.  Thanks to the goodness of the Bishop, we actually had the opportunity to watch in English usign the computer in the Bishop's office and it was so great to hear the voices of the Apostles and The prophet. It's honestly just so much better when you can actually hear their voice with the intonation and all of that. An boy, was that fun. We might have taken over the office for a short while...
