Hey All!
The work in Barrio Esperanza continues to progress and the pay off is fianlly comign for all of the work the Lord is having us do. As i mention last week, we've been tryign to go the extra mile and have daily contact with ur investigadors, and this week we started seeign a lot of fruits of that as a lot of epeopl have begun to progess and take the first few baby steps on the path that leads back to the Lord.
I want to tell you all about one family. They are a family with nine children. We are currently teaching three of the siblings. Two of their older siblings are members who were baptized about two or three years ago, but they are living in the United States right now because they were born in the US and are therefore US citizens and it's easier to send the kids to the United States for high school than to take out a Mexican Citizenship. Although these siblings have moved, they have remained active in the church and the older brother is preparing to serve a mission. And every time I teach thsi family, I feel like I am helping answer the prayers of these two faithful siblings that they have offered in behalf of their siblings. I kow that I have never met them, but I know that they have been praying for the rest of their family to hear the Gospel and I am incredibly grateful that I am able to help just a little bit with that.
As we act and we go about doing good, we never know exactly whose prayers we are helping to answer and more often than not, we will never know. But what a good reason to go about doing good? To know that the Lord trusts you enough to let you help Him answer the please of is Children.
I'm sorry I haven't been able to write much today, but I love you all and I hope you are all takign the call to be ministers to people to heart and are doing all you can to go abot doing good.
Con mi amor eterno,
Hermana Rawlings
