It is all worth it

You know when you're outside on a really cold day and the air is so cold that your face hurts? I didn't know this, but the opposite can also happen. This week, to my surprise, I learned that here in Sonora, it is possible to step outside and have your face hurt because the air is so dang hot. Not the sun necesairly, but the air. It burns your face and your lungs, you can feel how hot the pavement is underneath your shoes, and all the mosquitos are starting to die off.

But all of that is so worth it because you get to teach and talk to and have such great experiences with so many of God's children and it's actualy the best thing ever. We're still working with Brenda and we were able to teach her and her siblings the plan of Salvation this week. One of her sister asked us why we had to forget that we had lived with God before we were born here because it would so much easier if we were born into these bodies we have knowing exactly why we chose to come down to this Earth. As we were followign the guidance of te spirit in answering this very imoprtant question, I found myself earing testimony to the caliber of person who is here during these last days. I didn't know I had such a testimony of just how valient and how imoprtant every single soul is in these latter days. These are the days of preparation. We are preparing the world for the second coming of Chrsit, and although we don't exactly when that will be, we know it will be soon. How privilidged I feel to know that the Lord has trsuted me to participate in this work and to know of my divinve worth and potential.

I cant express sufficiently how much I love bien a missionary. I was tlaking to an Elder this week, and he commented that he ca't remeber who he was before his mission and I realized that I'm not exactly sure who I was or in what wasy I have changed, but I know I am different and I also know I am more than oka with that, because I am definitely changing for the better.

I know this church is true and I absolutely love beign here.

Con mi amor eterno,

Burning Spiritually and Physically!

Didn't you just LOVE conference? I feel like I have gotten much more out of General Coonference here in my time as a missionary. It's literally such a highlight and a spiritual fest. I think my favorite talks were from Jeffrey R. Holland, Dieter F. Uchtdorf, Russel M. Nelson, and actually, I can't choose, just all of them. I love what Elder Uchtdorf shared about how to share the gospel, step by step. I also love what was taught about the cvonnection between love and ministering, and I absolutely loved the emphasis on repentace and the Atoning power of Jesus Christ.  Thanks to the goodness of the Bishop, we actually had the opportunity to watch in English usign the computer in the Bishop's office and it was so great to hear the voices of the Apostles and The prophet. It's honestly just so much better when you can actually hear their voice with the intonation and all of that. An boy, was that fun. We might have taken over the office for a short while...
