This week we started off the transfer with several kind of
funny stories and some pretty awesoem miracles.
On Monday, we got the bikes fixed and "lubed" if
you will and then we went to go write. When we left the Cyber, Hermana
Gonzales' bike was comletely flat and the wheel punctured and so we ent back
tot bike shop, but they were closed and so we thought, buneo, we'll go to our
appointment and then we'll get them fixed tomorrow in the morning and so we
walked witht the bikes to the appointment and everythign was fine. We left the
appointment and my bike tire was flat too and the wheel was wrecked! So we had
to go back to the bike guy about four times iin two days and I reallythink the
Lord wanted us to contact him because he has a lot of questions about the
second coming and we had a pretty neat conversionwith the him while he as
tryign to figure out what to do with my bike and it's destroyed tire.
This week, we also went to visit the Valenzuelas, who are
doign awesoem and are super excited to share the gospel and are very anxious to
come to appointment wihth us, and so when we wnet to visit, to continue wot the
new membber lessons, the had, direct quite, "a soul for us to teach."
Hahaha. This "soul" is afirned of theirs who also wants to leave
behind the drugs and start a new life. The lesson was great and everythign was
awesome, he accpeted a baptismal date and everyhtign and we left to go to the
next appointment. 10 minutes after we left, the Elders came to visit the family
and see how they were doing and they also taught more or less the exact smae
lesson to the man and extended the same baptsimal date and everything! The
funniest part of everythign is that niether Rueben nor the Valenzuelas said
anythig about hat we had just been there until right as the elders were
levaing. It was a really fuuny phone call to recieve that night especially when
we realized we had taught basically the same and had extendd the same baptismal
date. The Lord really wanted thsi man to be taught.
The third miracles and kind fo fuuny story is the reason
this letter is titled the way it is. with Hermana Vasquez, we taught an investiagador
super awesoem named Lupita, but she never could come to church and over time,
we dropped her as other people were progressing and took priority. And this was
potentially a good thing, because one night this week, we recieved a
giagantically long text message from her saying that she really wanted to see
us again and that she had an experience with her prayers and that she knew that
this was the true church of Jesus Christ. adn just, DANG SON, I just about dies
from happiness! OUt of all the miracles I've seen so far in Huatabampo, I was
not expecting that.
I know that God has the power to touch the hearts of the
children of men and give them comfort to their souls. He really does loe us. He
cries when we cry, He is happy when we are happy and He feels bad when we do
not listen to His voice callign us home. He is truly aware of our every need
and I can never quite fully grasp exactly how great is His love for us. I don't
think I will ever be able to fully understand. I am so grateful He gave me the
opportunity to know the true church of Jesus Christ early in my life and that I
am able to be here in Sonora, trying to repay at least a fraction of what I
will always owe Him. I absoutely love this gospel and I testify that it is
true.
Con mi amor eterno,
Hermana Rawlings
