Creativity is a gift from God and Miracles abound

Hey all!

So last week if you all remember, we had te privledge of having a branxh activity with Presidente Myers about the iron rodand it was super epic and super spiritual. This week we saw so many miracles that came from the spirit that touched the hearts of those who attended.

One is named Sergio. He started comign to church becasue of one the memebers saw him, though of her son who's serving a mission, and decided to more or less insist that he come to church. Well, he's come three times now and he came to the activity as well and absouluely LOVED it.when we wentt to visit him, he wasn't there, because he has foundtemporary work for that day and doesn't have a phone so he couldn't tell us, but we had the chance to meet the rest of his family amd his mom was very impressed with her son's determination to tgo to church. In fact, Sergio turned down a job offer and is looking for somethign that has sundays off so that he can continue to come. I know the only reason he would do that is because the hrch and in particular the Reuinion Sacramental is so important and you can feel something special every singe week. It's somethign that I have sometimes taken for graned - the sanctity of the Santa Cena, but I have watched the spirit work touch people so strongly that Ioften have to remind myself just how sacred it is.

Another is a fmaily of inactive members. They've been inactive for a long time, but their very active mom died of old age revcently and her dying wish is that her family, already sealedtogether, can live up to that sealing ordinance. As we were going out to give invitations of the activity to the memebers, we passed by the house where Hermana Sofia had lives, and I noticed that there were people there again. Out of curiosity and what wasdefinitely the spirit, I hit the breaks and decided to see if one fo the kids had started to live in the house and was happy to find two of the children of hermana Sofia, with their children, several who's fmaily went inactive before they had the chance to be baptized and a few of their grandchildren. We decided tojust sing a hymn adn say a´rayer, leave the invitacion and hurry on our way becasue we had to pass by four or five more houses in the next hour, but as my copanin prayed, both of the children began to cry. One of them explained that it was her birthday and no one had remembered and she had been missiong her mother alot that day. She told us that durign the prayer, she had felt her mother alongside her and it was all she had wished for for her birthday. They came to the activity, adn this week at chruch, all of them came and also brough along several other fmaily memebers. I never thought soemthign that seems as simple as sayign a prayer could brign such a strogn miracle, but I knwo that all of that, literally all of it is thanks to the spirit of the Lord who testifies to the hearts of all men and I am so grateful that the Lord trusts me enough to let me be a tool in his hand. I know that I can do nothign of myself and that the Lord does it all because I may be smart, I might be ble to be eloquent and intellectual in my speach, but there is nothign short than the sprit of the Lord that can tough the hearts of the children of men.

I love you all and sorry if this letter is slightly short, we had another miracle ths past swaturday. I got fed up with fruitlessly searchign for houses here in Huatabampo and finally in companinship prayer asked Heavely Father if He could help us find a house that very day.We called two more numbers that hadn't answered us before. One of them answered and it was exactly what we were looking for and it's almost evern better becasue its literally two blocks from the church! I'm really glad I finally truned to the Lord for this matter because we couldn't have foudn this house without Him.

I love you all and I'm sending prayers your way

Con mi amor eterno,
Hermana Rawlings

Burning Spiritually and Physically!

Didn't you just LOVE conference? I feel like I have gotten much more out of General Coonference here in my time as a missionary. It's literally such a highlight and a spiritual fest. I think my favorite talks were from Jeffrey R. Holland, Dieter F. Uchtdorf, Russel M. Nelson, and actually, I can't choose, just all of them. I love what Elder Uchtdorf shared about how to share the gospel, step by step. I also love what was taught about the cvonnection between love and ministering, and I absolutely loved the emphasis on repentace and the Atoning power of Jesus Christ.  Thanks to the goodness of the Bishop, we actually had the opportunity to watch in English usign the computer in the Bishop's office and it was so great to hear the voices of the Apostles and The prophet. It's honestly just so much better when you can actually hear their voice with the intonation and all of that. An boy, was that fun. We might have taken over the office for a short while...
