Hola!

Hey Everyone!

I am happy to announce that Huatabmpo Branch has a new, faithful, very excited member. His name is José Roberto and he was able to enter into a baptismal covenant this past Saturday!

We met him on the street headed to work when I decided to follow some advice a wise friend had given me and had Hermana Salas contact everyone posible in the street for about half and hour. He was the first person she talked to and when we came back the next day, he told us that he had almost been baptized baout a year ago, but that he hadn't been able to because his faily sent him to a rehab center the week of his baptism. Now, a year later, he was more prepared and more excited than even to enter into a convenant with the Lord. I seriously love beign a missionary!

I've also been gaining even more of a testimony of the Bok of mormon as my companion and I have been reading together in te mornings and dang, the Isaaiah chapters are way cooler than I remember. First, thre's a very good portion of them that it the words of the Lord, and second, it's all prophecies about the getherigin of Israel, whihc is exactly what is happenign and what I am doins as a missionary.

Also, we got sick. Pretty solidly and didn't leave the house for a good bit this week and I fell off my bijke for the first time in my entire mission. If you wan tto story, ask Mckay. But hey, after all the times I've ridden around without hands (which I can do very esily now, I can actually turn corners without hands) I was kind of surprised that it was not for beign slightly reckless of careless on the bike. It was actualyl right before the baptism, so I'm going chalk this one up to Satan being rude and petty because that happens, but the Lord is more powerful and so who cares.

This next week are transfers and since I've got six months here in Huatabampo, if I email at a weird time next week, its because I got transfered and so don't worry mom, I'm still alive.

I love you all!

Con mi amor eterno,
Hermana Rawlings

Burning Spiritually and Physically!

Didn't you just LOVE conference? I feel like I have gotten much more out of General Coonference here in my time as a missionary. It's literally such a highlight and a spiritual fest. I think my favorite talks were from Jeffrey R. Holland, Dieter F. Uchtdorf, Russel M. Nelson, and actually, I can't choose, just all of them. I love what Elder Uchtdorf shared about how to share the gospel, step by step. I also love what was taught about the cvonnection between love and ministering, and I absolutely loved the emphasis on repentace and the Atoning power of Jesus Christ.  Thanks to the goodness of the Bishop, we actually had the opportunity to watch in English usign the computer in the Bishop's office and it was so great to hear the voices of the Apostles and The prophet. It's honestly just so much better when you can actually hear their voice with the intonation and all of that. An boy, was that fun. We might have taken over the office for a short while...
