Cambioooooos

Yup, I got tranferred this morning. I am now serving in Hermosillo, in an area called Balderrama with Hermana Castro, from Morelos Mexico. She´s super awesome wtih only 3 transfers left in the mission, so I've got alot to learn fom her.

This past week I was pretty much sure I was being transfered, more than anythgin because President Myers has a rule of 6 months maximum in an area with vey very few exceptions. And so it was kidn o nostaglic and also supe hype at the same tme because there was feelingss of "noooo Huatabampo" and also if this is my last week in Huatabampo, I'm giving my all and leavign this area well worked so I can leave feeling good. And so, we worked. Sister Salas is doing amazing and she has really started to blossom in her ability to teach and open up to people. I'm just really glad that I was able to be a part of her mission and watch her grow and I'm excited to keep watching her grow as she continues to learn and become more like Jesus Christ and I'malso really glad becasue this experience has helped me personally becoemmuch more ike Chirst and more ike the misionary that He wants me to be.

There's a scripture I realy liked this past week in Doctrine and Convenants which says, "and again, verily I say unto you that it is your privilege, and a promise I give unto you that have been ordained unto this ministry, that inasmuch as you strip yourselves from jealousies and fears, and humble yourselves before me, for ye are not sufficiently humble, the veil shall be rent and you shall see me and know that I am—not with the carnal neither natural mind, but with the spiritual." (I definitely copied and pasted that from Lds.org sorry because I only have my spanish scriptures with me). But I absolutely love this scripture and the promise it brings! It is my greatest desire to know and see Christ and I love thi scripture because maybe I wil necer have the priviladge of seeing him in person before I go the way of all the earth, but wehn I do die I want to know Him os that when I see Him, it would be as if I ha seen and known Him in personin this life.

I know that He livesand is mindul of me and of my needs and my thoughts. I know that He died for me and paid the price of my sins nad errors and also the price of al of my burdens. I know I can change, and can be a better person if I listen to Him and come unto Him, that I can be perfect, "yea, even as (my) Fatehr in eaven is perfect."

I lvoe you all and am sending you my love from Sonora,

con mi amor eterno, Hermana Rawlings

Burning Spiritually and Physically!

Didn't you just LOVE conference? I feel like I have gotten much more out of General Coonference here in my time as a missionary. It's literally such a highlight and a spiritual fest. I think my favorite talks were from Jeffrey R. Holland, Dieter F. Uchtdorf, Russel M. Nelson, and actually, I can't choose, just all of them. I love what Elder Uchtdorf shared about how to share the gospel, step by step. I also love what was taught about the cvonnection between love and ministering, and I absolutely loved the emphasis on repentace and the Atoning power of Jesus Christ.  Thanks to the goodness of the Bishop, we actually had the opportunity to watch in English usign the computer in the Bishop's office and it was so great to hear the voices of the Apostles and The prophet. It's honestly just so much better when you can actually hear their voice with the intonation and all of that. An boy, was that fun. We might have taken over the office for a short while...
