Insert Title Here aka when you have written way to many letters and no longer iknow what to title them all aka what happens with a month left in the mission aka AAAAAHHH
This week, we had the great opportunity to wach of little
friedn Valeria descend ino thte waters of baptism. It was a cute and fun
expereince, more than anything because she is deathly afraid of water and
suuuuper shy on top of it all. Not a great combination for a baptismal service,
but Valeria had and has a great desire to be a disciple of Jesus Christ and
follow in His footsteps, and with great courage, although trembling forom head
to toe, she let Elder Barker guide her into the water. After a few minutes of
trying and mustering up her courage, Valeria allowed herself to be immersed in
the water and was able to be baptized. It was such a sweet experience becasue
here is this liitle 11 year old, determination and bravery set in her face, and
even though she was terrified and shaking, she knew what she was doign and knew
why she was doing it and understood the eternal consequences that this
ordinance has in her life.
As misionaries, baptism is our purpose. We invite all to
coem unto Christ, and though the truths and the power the come with the resored
gospel of Jeuss Christ, become as a little child as they are spiritually reborn
in the waters of baptism. Any missionary who does not understadn ther purpose
does not understadn why they are on a mision, nor do they understand what the
Lord has called them to do.
Conversion is not an easy thing, nor an easy process, but
nothign that was every worht anythgin came cheap.
Salvation is worth it. Conversion is worht it. There is no
prioce to great, nor sacrafice to grand, because it is our only way back to the
presence of our Loveign Father in Heaven, and the only way to be made free
through the grace and mercy of the powr of the Atoning sacrafice of our Lord
and Savior Jesus Christ.
I love you all!!!
Con mi amor eterno,
Hermana Rawlings
