FELIZ NAVIDAD Y'ALL

The best way to spread CHristmas cheer is singign loud for all to hear" - Elf  (I think)  So  we went caroling on Saturday as a ward to invite everone to the speacial Christmas Sacrament Meeting, and it  was super fun. We all packed into two little cars and a giant "Miembros de al iglesia de Jesucrist de los santos de los ultimos dias" van (think Aunt Jenn's Kidsmobile) and went to visit a bunch of the people we are teaching and also several friends of members and a few people who just need a good pick me up and it was so fun! It finally felt like it is really Christmas!  There's one member's house we went to in particular where the husband is agruff spoken, no touchy feely kind of person. And we've been passing by to teach him as he has not yet had the priviledge to partake iun the baptismal covenant so when we passed by their house and sang, he came out and and the end of everythginn had a gigantic  smile on his face and look of pure wonder,...

CASI FELIZ NAVIDAD

Hey Everyone! IT's alsmost CHRISTMAS WOOOOOOO!  I love Chroistmas so muchand it's awesome becasue there are plenty of events and chrtmas thign sthat memebrs can bring freiends to and so that's really nice to be able to meet new people to teach them the Gospel.  THIS SATURDAY I WAS ABLE TO GO TO THE TEMPLE! It was the first tiem that Julio nad Jaime went to do baptisms for the dead, and it was our great priviledge to accompany them and dang, I have missed the temple. I absolutely love the feelign of beign home that you get hwen you step inside. When asked how he felt i nthe temple, Julio tols us that it felt like beign on an island away fom the wold and that there was this great feelign of peace and calm without worldly worries. I can't recalll his exact words but my heart wasso full of joy that day to be back in the House of My Father and to have the beloved riedns I have watched make the decisionto be baptized descend again into the water of baptism, but this...

LIGHT THE WORLD LETS GOOOO

Hi everyone! I'm stayign here in Balderrama with Hermana whcih i´'m super excited for because she rocks and so does balderrama, or how our district has taken to callign it, Bald Rama. (In our district of Jard-nes (pronounced Hardnes), Big Cactus, and Bald Rama).  We saw the giganticly huge miracle of watchign Hermanao Ignacio descend into the waters of baptism whcih was greta becuase there were so. many. obstacles. this entrie week. Satan was really giving it all he got. First they couldn't get divorced because there weren't judges and then the money to pay fo the dicvorce got lost, and then they coudn't get amrried becasue there weren't any judges becasue of the holidays, and then they coudl not without any cremony but not until this next Wednesday and then finally, fially, they got married Friday morning. WOOHOOO! It was a wild ride, and even wilder becasue since Friday is his only day off of the week because he wroks in the hospital, he got bapt...

December Already!!

Hi Everyone, It's already December which is really weird. I don't know where the time's gone, it feels like every single transfer just goes faster and faster and I'm going to blink and my mission is going to be over.  This past week has been a solid one. We decided as a district to pray together every night (pray together as in pray at the same time) asking for Heavenly Father to bless the people we are teaching and work miracles in their lives and it's been quite interesting. We have a few friends who have been progressign a lto lately and are anxiously waiting for the opportunity to descend into the waters of baptism. One of them is Ignacio. He's the spouse of a member who was inactive for a time and well, they need to get married so that he can get baptized, but he has divorced first.  These past couple weeks we have working hard to work out everythign so that he can get divorced but about two weeks ago as we were finished up one of the last steps...

Another great week in Hermosillo

Hey! Sorry about last week, all of tthe cybers were closed. All of them.  So, to catch you up on on the last two weeks - I'm alive, and workign hard, and I love you all. Bye. I'm just kidding, I'm actually going to write today. This past week we had the great priviledge to watch Julio Cesar descend into the waters of baptism. He's a super powerful young adult who actually found us and basically asked to be baptized. He's been attending insititue for about two months now after several of his good freinds, who are members, invited him to attend Principals of the Restoration. And he loved it. About a month later, we got a text from, one of his friends that basically gave us his address and said He wants you to visit him at 10 AM tomorrow. Bueno, pues, vaminos. About five minutes into the conversation, he already had a baptismal date. It was honestly super cool to watch his conversion process, becasue we prety much only saw the very end of it.  It was hone...
